FTP
We have a computer configured to communicate through the FTP protocol. It works with the FullSWITCH workflow to enable the client to send files at any time and any place.
FullSWITCH
This program provides us with an automatic workflow that, together with Pitstop, lets us create hot folders for the automatic reception and check of the PDF files until the results are sent back to our clients.
Workstations
The Design and Pre-press Department works with two powerful Mac Pro workstations and three outstanding PCs to speed the file handling and processing up.
CTP (Computer To Plate) or direct to plate
We use an automatic direct-to-plate system that processes the thermic plates online.
Akiyama J Print 40
It is a sheetfed offset press that prints both sides of a sheet while maintaining one gripper edge through the process. 72 x 102 cm. size (slightly bigger than a DIN-B1), in eight colours.
The main and exclusive attribute of this printing machine lies in the fact that, thanks to its unique linear transfer arrangement assures you of trouble-free printing on both sides of the sheet in one pass. The upper and lower unit design eliminates problems traditionally associated with perfecting presses. There is no difference in printing quality between front and back of the sheet. The inker roller train provides optimum control of ink and water for upper and lower units with the resulting high quality, consistent printing. Independent water fountain drives are set to follow press speed with controls from the delivery control panel. Ink train and plate temperature can be critical in some applications especially when running waterless plates. For these situations, our press offers a system to maintain proper temperature by circulating water through the ink oscillating rollers.
Intellitrax X-Rite densitometer
This advanced, automated colour management scanning for press-side colour control is ultra-fast. It automatically scans the colour bar of a typical press sheet in less than 15 seconds with the ability to measure special colours, Pantone®, non-process and paper colours. It instantly reports these results on-screen, so press operators can quickly make adjustments and get to approved colour faster.
